Emily’s legal career started
in Auckland in 1996 in West Auckland. She later moved
into Auckland City where she stayed for several years.
Alongside her legal practice during this time she
worked closely with the Women’s refuge – as
a volunteer and providing legal services. She has
an interest in alternative dispute resolution, and
is a trained LEADR mediator. Her mediation skills
were also used in her volunteer work as a Restorative
Justice practitioner.
She moved to England in 2002. Whilst in England
she worked as a Child Care Solicitor and started
her own family. She then returned to NZ, expanded
her family and enjoyed motherhood for a while.
Emily’s
legal background is mainly in Family
Law. She recognized
her leaning towards this area
early in her career, fuelled by a strong desire
to help those going through one of the most difficult
times in their lives. She believes it is important
to help people reach resolution themselves where
possible but is very aware of the often urgent
issues that arise requiring immediate attention.
Emily’s
aim is to provide you with the best possible advice,
in a timely and cost effective manner.
Outside the
office family life keeps Emily busy but she makes
time for a bit of running.
